Calcifer is a gorgeous long-haired orange cat who has come a long way from his life outdoors. While we don’t know exactly how long Calcifer was on his own, he’s learning to enjoy the safety and warmth of indoor living — and he’s discovering just how nice cuddles can be! He’s a bit shy at first, especially around dogs, but once he feels safe, Calcifer becomes an incredibly sweet and affectionate companion.

He will need a kitty friend in his new home to share toys and the sunbeams as they stream through the windows. He loves gentle attention, cozy naps, and curling up in a quiet spot near or on top of his people. Calcifer would do best in a peaceful home where he can continue to build trust at his own pace. Older children would probably be okay. He’s looking for someone patient and kind who will give him the time and love he needs to fully blossom.
